DISCOVER OUR STORY
Meet our Head Chef Idan, a homegrown hero with a passion for cooking plant-based local cuisine. Growing up in Kuala Lumpur, Idan learned everything he knows about cooking local cuisine from his grandmother.
After spending time in the bustling food scene in Bali, he realized his true calling was to create fusion vegan dishes that are packed with flavor and good for you - and the planet too!
Upon returning to Malaysia, Chef Idan started a little Indonesian vegan food truck court, which became extremely popular. He soon took up a residency at Thursdvys, a local cafe in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, where Hijau was born.
Since then, we have gone from strength to strength, taking up residencies at KL's trendy food court Tiffin At The Yard in Sentul Depot, and more recently, REX KL in Petaling Street.
Fast forward to today and we’re now excited to announce our very first brick and mortar restaurant in Damansara City Mall opening mid 2023!
